May and July are going to be a fun couple of months for Canadian music in Europe.
Canadian Blast, the showcase brand of the Canadian Independent Music Association, has readied over a dozen showcases featuring the best emerging Canadian talent yet across Europe from now until July. This line-up includes a residency at The Garage in Islington with Mean Fiddler, showcases at The Great Escape, Liverpool Soundcity and Cologne POP and new partnerships with Primavera Sound in Barcelona, New Skool Rules and MusicConnex Festivals. Starting in Estonia on March 27th and finishing in London and Berlin on July 2nd, this is the busiest set of gigs in Canadian Blast’s history. Plus, at each showcase, every entrant will receive a download card with free music of all participating artists on all the showcases. More showcases are to be announced soon, including the most extensive Canada Day celebrations yet, on July 1st and 2nd in London and Berlin. Plus, all showcases will feature the tunes of the Canadian Blast DJs, featuring Ro Cemm from The Line of Best Fit.
